“What equipment do I have to buy?” It’s often a question I’m asked. The ONLY piece of equipment I suggest would be either a resistance band or a set of dumbbells – personally I’d say dumbbells first as they are more versatile, but the bands will work too. The ONLY part of your body that is tough to train without any equipment would be your back. While I have often told clients they can use a bottle of water or a can of beans, in fact when it comes down to your back, you need more weight, and a can is only a pound heavy/under half a kilo, if that. I’d like you to have at least 4 to 10 pounds/2 to 5 kg of resistance to work with and resistance bands or dumbbells provide that.
